Hi, I`ve just purchased the above vehicle, it`s silver with a blue hood ..
Could anyone tell me the best treatment I should use on the hood, I`ve heard Auto-glym do one but if there`s a "better" product I`d go for that.

    Thanks in advance

    John

What does the 'roof treatments' actually do. ive read the it is a cleaner, but my roof is quite clean. Am hoping that it seals the roof and helps water to bead, rather than soak in.

I use autoglym whenever the roof needs a clean. Its 2 bottles and a rough sponge you get for £20 from local motor factors (or cheaper on egay).

Its pretty good but the cleaner isn't the best on removing mildew, I found normal car shampoo and a toothbrush to clean it better. But I have to say the ultraproofer is excellent, beads water for ages after its been applied. I've still got my kit that I bought last September and enough to do one more clean with it

But once this is finished i'll be looking to get Renevo, hood cleaner, colour and ultraproofer but that'll probably be in the spring.

yep ive used it and it stopped a leak i had.make sure you protect your windows and bodywork when spraying on as its silicone based i think and makes a right mess i found this out, took me ages to get off.
im definatley going for renovo soon tho as my roof is now faded blue and ive heard good things about them.

Is the roof dirty? or need re-waterproofing?
if you want to clean the roof just use a weak mixture of car shampoo with water and a nail brush or tooth brush, but if you want to re-water proof you need to clean the whole roof as above then apply a canvas waterproofer like fabsil, paint it on with a paint brush
