    Do you need to remove them to paint?

    And do they require any sanding?

    Never bothered before but ive noticed mine look a little rough looking and a lick of paint might take the bad look of them.

    Id personally go silver or black too.

    If you don't want to spend alot of time/effort you can just simply leave them on the car and wire brush them. Clean any grease/brake fluid off them and paint em up.

    But to get a really good finish you'd have to take them off the car, but most poeple normally leave them on
