Well I did my first mod on the Beemer! Changed the rear number plate bulbs to LED as I noticed last night that one wasnt working. I read up on here about all the problems with the bulb holders and also LEDS bringing up error messages but luckily theyve gone in with no problems! Gonna wait till it gets dark and check my handy work

On another note, can anyone recommend some 501 (sidelight) bulbs, pref LED that wont bring up the error warning? Ive looked on ebay but theres so many I wanted some recommended! Also what are good headlight bulbs, looking for superbright/blue tint but dont know whats good etc

    Cheers

    Paddy

    Hi
i have just bought a set of chip like LED sidelights. hopefully below link works, no warnings, nice slim design and awesomely bright ice white colour without being dazzling so gives a great look when used alone, downside is they are so crisp white that my headlights now look a bit yellow in comparison whereas they didnt before. still one of the best and cheapest mods ive done

Ive just ordered a set of the LEDS as well so hopefully theyll be ok. I know what you mean about the headlights looking yellow, I did the same on my Impreza and could never find headlight bulbs to match that werent HID.

Hi, does anyone know if these ones fit in ok, ive had LED before that were too wide to fit into the parking light holder.

Do i have to get the flat type with the lights on the side? Im guessing these ones facing forward would give out a better light, but maybe not?
