Well guys and gals, when it comes to detailing advice nobody beats you!
I machine polished my car last year with a Megs DA machine, using Menzerna polishes and pads.
I cut the paint using the compounding pad and the PowerFinish polish and then finished off with the finishing pad and the FinalFinish polish.
This left very good results and removed 99% of swirls and all marring.
It’s now been a year, and as the car is going to be used as a main wedding car this summer, I want to have it looking its best.
As I wash using the two bucket method and a lambs wool mitt, plus snow foam if the car is pitted, there aren’t any deep swirls or imperfections. There are only very very minor swirls and slight marring now a year after the polish....
This is the car as it stands now
I intend to machine polish again.
I don’t want to cut the paint, as I don’t feel this is needed and I don’t want to get into the habit of machine polishing the car on a regular basis.
I intend to use the Menzerna finishing pads only this time, but I’m stuck on what polish to use.
Should I just use the Menzerna FinialFinish again?
Or is there a better last step polish out there that will remove very light imperfections and leave a great finish on black paint?
I want the paint looking so wet and deep you could drown in it.
Once polished I will be protecting the paint with Collinite 476s wax.
So, any recommendations???
