Hello everybody! I got my shark fin fitted the other day whilst the chap at the bodyshop was measuring the roof up, he was leaning his elbow on the roof for support. I could see the roof caving in and deforming, when he lifted his elbow after a few seconds the roof came back up again. My heart was crying watching this but I kept quite! I'm just wondering if it is possible the roof can deform/dent/ripple from this kind of pressure/force? Am I being paranoid or was this actually dangerous?

    Thanks guys!

It can deform and is removable by PDR (did mine a few times ). You either need a florescent light or a reflector board to see a dent if you cannot see it visibly.

Thanks! Is it easy to deform? Would the weight of an elbow be enough to deform it?

I have ran a reflection across the roof and the reflection did not seem to jump, it went across smoothly.

As long as too much weight isn't applied the roof skin will bounce back, but never the less its still shoddy workmanship. He didn't really need to lean his elbow on the roof to measure for a shark fin.

Tell me about it...I just hope the roof is ok! I'm surprised the roof caves in so easily!! Imagine you apply excessive pressure when polishing the roof? I thought the roof would be stronger than that!?
