An H7r HID bulb will give pretty much the same cut off effect as the projector lense without the hassle of fitting.

Your headlights do look good though.

A H7r won't touch the cut off of these FX-R projectors mate, maybe the cheap DEPO dype units etc! But the FX-R performance is amazing.

A picture below from a HID retrofit site...

Have you got any pics of the install mate? Something that I will be looking at doing in the new year! Did you get them from the US? and did you use origional E46 shrouds?

    Thanks
If it aint broke, don't fix it!!!

Yeah got them off of american ebay, bought some e46-r shrouds aswell and he cut me a deal which worked out cheaper than just buying the projectors.
Ill try and get some better close ups and see if i can get a shot of the back of the light for ya at work if i get time tonight. The shrouds will need trimming to fit.

Looking very good, like a stealth oem job, well done

Just a thought, the outer glass seems to have its own p/n so may be poss to swap out your stone chipped ones for new.
    BMW p/n are 63 12 6 924 043 and 63 12 6 924 044.
eurocarparts seem to do the outer glass too from £18.51 a side, would need to make sure they're for the face-lifted lights though...

Would be great to see some more pics mate! How you finding the cut off etc?

You will be able to wet and dry the headlight lenses and then give them a good polish to get them as good as new!
If it aint broke, don't fix it!!!

I recall there's a UV protectant clearcoat on the outer plastic to help prevent them discolouring in sunlight.
If you sand this off you'll prob need to redo sooner or later as the outer layer of unprotected plastic will start to cloud. Not good!
Headlight retoration kits usually have a sachet or spray to reapply the protectant.
It might actually be less hassle/cost to get new lenses in the end.

There's a blindingly obvious flaw with that pic and I can't believe no-one has mentioned it yet..
