Hi there, I read somewhere on the net about flaring arches to get these to fit.
I've got a set of 18" sport wheels but really like the idea of the M3 wheels.
Does anyone know much about fitting these wheels to a 4 door e46?

    Cheers

    Ben

If they are 8.5j rears like the mv's then they'll fit, however i've not looked into what sizes they are, i think any bigger and you'll struggle to fit them, and the bonnet is different i believe... mind you i know nothing lol

    note: i think m3 rears are 9.5j...

It's all about the offsets on the M3 wheels. The OEM rears run too aggressive an offset to fit a standard 3 series.

IIRC, the M3's run about a 25mm ET on the rears, and the standard e46's about a 45mm.

As Mark says-M3 rears have the 5 series offsets so wont fit a standard E46.Am sure you could change the bonnet over with no problem

hi im assuming you have an e46 touring?

the bonnet will not fit, as the m3s are coupes/cabs, tourings share the same bonnet as compacts/saloons.

Thank you for the replies. It sorts the bonnet idea out.
I'll keep looking into the arches to see what work will be needed for the wheels.

how about cutting some rear arches from a wrecked e46 m3 and having them welded onto yours?
