For the last few days I've been thinking I really should treat the Zafira to a wash and polish. Today was the day

I'm not a hardcore detailer so don't be surprised to hear that I am a fan of Meguiars cleaning products

First of all I washed the car with Meguiars Soft Wash Gel (4 caps added to a bucket of warm water, after rinsing I then opened up the packaging from my new Clay Bar (never used one before). Keeping the surface lubricated (with the Meguiars Quick Detailer Mist and Wipe) I worked the clay bar over the entire vehicle.

Being 5ft 4" and cleaning the roof of a Zafira can be....... Well, very awkward to say the least

Once the clay bar had been put away I then set about the paint work with Meguiars Paint Cleaner. This was applied with good old fashioned elbow grease I choose to clean a panel and then wipe free repeating this until every panel has been cleaned.

Final step was to apply the Meguiars Polish. The only reason the Zafira received this attention is because it will be put up For Sale soon

Here are some before and after photo's, I'm quite pleased really but I would still like to have it mopped.

    After

    Roof - Before

    Rear - Before

    After

Sorry It's not a Beemer Guys

That was just a quickie. I'm waiting for the new plate to arrive, then it's in for MOT, and oil change. After that it will be taxed for six months and put up For Sale.

I still have to do the inside and all the horrible bits like door shuts etc and then a final once over on the exterior

Good luck with the sale Rym, they make useful and desirable load/people luggers (if not to my taste). I am sure that you will be rewarded for all of your hard work when the sale goes through

That was my thoughts exactly until I read numerous threads in the detailing section. Keep your eyes peeled for threads posted by Gleam Machine. His work is fantastic
