I've had a bit of spray work done by my mate today and I asked him to give me some of the paint that was left to do a few small touch up jobs on my car..

Only little bits like the ends of the doors and a few small scrapes on the arch..

Some of these blemishes have already been botched with the wrong colour touchup sticks by previous owners..

Can anyone give me any tips on how go about doing this work??

Basically I know i'll need really fine wet n dry to rub it down.. but what grade??

Then should I use one of them tiny brushes or is there something better to apply small amounts of paint with??

Then once the paints dried do I rub it down again?? If so again what grade??

    Cheers in advance!!

touching up scratches is an art imo but what i would say is use a small brush and slowly build up the scratch untill flush with the origional paint, then aply the laquer, leave to dry sand down with 1500-2000 grit sandpaper then a finnishing paste, to cut it back, i would give it a go some where thats not seen first to see how you get on hope this helps
