    Wet it down, Gunk it down scrub it off, rinse it off and seal with gunk enine seal.... Done

    i use wd40 spray it on then wipe it of,it takes all the crap off i then give it one last spray and leave it.i have heard that wd40 causes rubber to perish,but i`ve been using it for cleaning for years and never come across this,plus the engine bay looks very bloody nice.

    eddiee46 that engine looks very neat..
    going to do my car on sunday.

    Did u just use engine degreaser and wash down or did u use anything else?

    Yer just used Gunk to cover it leave it for a few mins then used an old cloth and t-shirt to wipe it all down. Then gave it a rinse down then coverd with an auto glym vinal and rubber care. its as simple as that. i just did a few areas at a time and didnt put to much water on.

    would halfords have the glym vinal and rubber care??
    did u take out any parts from engine??

    yer i got all my stuff from halfords in their 3 for 2 offer. Nah i just left everything in place but in a few weeks when i service it and replace my swirl flaps i will clean the removed pieces. good look with the clean and post some pics up befor and after.
