the bi-xenons are blindingly bright, the angel eyes look great in them too.
the cutoff point on the lights is very sharp,a massive improvement over halogen.

if you can afford it and have a very lot of patience in finding a set i would go with the oem light set up.i spent over 18 month looking for the right set and quarry motors obliged @575 with the matching lcm.

the reason i went with oem is because of so many threads about aftermarket ballast failures and other probs.i also wanted the bi-xenon function.

hid kits in halogen reflectors tend to throw the light everywhere and some examples i see blind oncoming drivers.

does this compact look familiar?3771369187_9bc4c2e85f_b.jpg itsthe one from QM with the lights now in my car.

    Hey Squeeky!!
You may remember me from 'fanatics from when you were after the bixenon adatper loom?
Anyway I've now done as you have and paid a small fortune for oem bixenon.
I made my bixeon adaptor from bmw parking sensor plugs/sockets which saved enough to buy some new Philips Ds2 bulbs at £60 a pop
Only took 8 months to get both to complete the pair,
    1 ebay, 1 partsgateway.
I did reply to thread on fanatics but seems you're here now. Cool.
Mine are super-bright, no error codes, bixenon works fine, just have to re-check alignment (again!!) as think it's still a little out.

i managed to get hold of the oem looms through bmminiparts.
as for alignment i simply marked the wall in front of the car before taking the halogens out and putting the xenons in.put xenons in and set them to the wall, car sailed through mot.
i did put angel eyes in as well wired direct to the sidelight wires with a inline fuse for protection.010.jpg

i do tend to get a little shake on mine when i hit a bad pothole, yours the same?

On a rough road, which nearly all are since the snow, the lights nods up and down. Nothing can do really, the auto level operates too slow for this sort of movement.

Did you put in new d2s bulbs before fitting or keep what were there?
If you had some 5000 or 6000k bulbs would match your angel eyes which I must say look really fresh on your compact. Good stuff!

I'll get some pics up too soon
