    Unfortunately its nothing impressive

Ive just got an AC Schnitzer Tip on it it looks a million times better, but I couldnt get an exhaust for two reasons, I didnt want it to sound like a saxo or something and Poxy insurance company would charge me another 120 quid and only replace it with standard parts. So I just had to go for the look .

Yeh, filling the cut out was the main thing, I found another way to get the noise though, first of all I fitted an induction kit but after a month I still hadnt got round to getting a heat shield and the heat soak was too bad to make up for when it was acually cold lol! But then I realised the standard air filter is a cone so removed the air box lid and hey presto an induction kit with a heat sheild Looking at getting the K and N replacement filter as that would probably do a better job, but with the standard filter technically its not an induction kit, but you still get the noise

I was looking at the standard bumper to save cash (the front is fine) - looks like the search will continue for a while yet.

As for the induction, not sure what its like the the 4 pots, but the OE air intake feed is tiny on mine - I was genuinely surprised at how small and crappy it is. No wonder a quality induction kit can have such a big impact (when funds allow it, I think a Simota could well be on the cards).

you bought the m sport kit from the topaz blue e46 compact did you??

the price i was quoted was over £700 including postage by quarry for just the bumpers and side skirts and I ended up getting the same kit but brand new painted for £770 from mstyle.

no i purchased the bi-xenon headlamps only.
if it's the same car and my memory is right they were breaking the car because it had a whining diff or gearbox.

i think when i enquired about the m sport bumpers and skirts they would not split £700 for set,i only wanted a front m sport bumper skin.

i did get a quote for the front bumper skin at a dealership-£325 primed and £850 painted.no that is not a misprint £850 and 3 week wait.

i ended up buying a bumper skin from bmminiparts.com @£225 brand spanking new painted silver and never fitted.
it came from a dealers but with my car been black i need to get it re-painted.

ahhh right, sorry misread by me!

yeah they wouldn't split and the £700 for the kit quoted isn't cheap for a used kit!

as i said i paid less than a hundred £ more for a brand new genuine painted kit from mstyle.co.uk

    what are the xenons like??

i might get a hid conversion kit soon
