I've been searching the forums for an answer but I may be using the wrong term(s) to find what I'm after
The door trim pieces along the gutter, between the windows and the roof bars on my three series (E46 touring 2001 facelift in silver) should be black. At the least excuse they revert to grey and a smegy patchy grey at that. I think they are suposed to be a gloss black, but they could be mat . Todate I've been using Autoglym Ultra deep shine with poor results.
Does anyone know:
What these trims are made of anodised aluminium/ painted steel/ plastic ?
How do I tell if they should be gloss or mat (is it on the info plate on the car?)
How do I get them looking tidy for more than one lap of the car park.
Any help would be appreciated, and if there is a previous posting on this then, a link would be great, ta very muchly
