    Someone please help, i have bought some clear indicators (Ebay specials) to replace my coloured ones but i dont have a clue how to get the standard ones out? Surely you dont have to remove the entire headlight?

    Please help

    Oh and its a Coupe (2000 E46 318Ci) thank you

    I think the indicator unit is held on with one small screw, not sure if the headlight has to be removed first tho.

    The model year for OP's car would suggest he has a plastic retaining tab instead of a screw holding his indicator.

    as above; on the pre facelift there is a screw that holds the indicator part of the head lamp in place,

    you do not need to remove the whole head light

    thanks for everyones reply, thats good news that i dont have to remove the headlight!

    Does anyone know where to find the tab holding the indicator in place? does anyone have any tips or advice

    use a philps screw driver, the screw dosent come all the way out its captive i belive

    Right, i had a crack at it last night but there was no screw to undo, the indicator is held in with rubber connected to the headlight, but i cant lift it up! can anyone help, i think mine is the pre-face lift as theres no screw??

    Like I said, you have a retaining plastic tab. Use a flat blade screwdriver and push the tab down and pull out the indicator unit at the same time.
