I'm sure it'll be fine mate, waxing once a week is no good a few layers of Dodo Juice Purple Haze should see you right for months
coupled with an Aquawax product every other wash keeps my Jet Black paintwork in pretty good condition

I've not heard anything bad about the place, only good, still nervous about the outcome though

I use the Meg's Mirror Glaze range at moment and quite happy with them (which is a good job as the bottles last years). I'll have to taken a look at your recommended product as I'm not familiar with it.

I didn't get the call yesterday so I've just been down the bodyshop and guess what - she was actually left by the bodyshop as ready to pick-up.

Not had a thorough inspection as the car was inside the paintshop which isn't normally open Saturdays. However, they let me have a quick look inside and the results look pretty good in the artificial light available, new wings look well new, front bumper scuff nowhere to be seen and vitually all signs of stone-chips gone (did see 1 small impression in the new paint but thats being picky. Regarding wing fitment it looks very close, may just need to raise the stoppers on the front of bonnet slightly.

I'm gonna save further comment until I've seen her in natural light as I didn't check all of the bits and pieces. Fingers crossed I'll be well pleased on Monday - after I've convinced them to apply a bit more polish to a few bits that look like they were rushed late last night to get her ready for today - a small surface scratch and few swirls in the newly painted bonnet.

    Final judgement reserved.

Well, after all the waiting here's the photo's:

    The newly sprayed front end-

In the bodyshop - new genuine kidney grills (expensive but worth it)

    Formerly the bumper scuff-

The genuine replacement lateral grid (double finned part either side of and connected to fog-light)-

    The wings-

    The formerly chipped/bubbling sills-

    The chipped/bubbly tail strip-

    The formerly scuffed mirror caps-

    From the back-

    From the front-

    The colour match is perfect

All repair work (scuff, sills, stone-chips etc) is pefect

Wings fitment not 100% perfect but pretty good (subjectively I'd say 95%) - everything is spot on apart from where the corner tapers in towards the head-lights, gap is a bit bigger here and slightly above line of bonnet. The corners want 'pushing in' a little (few mm) to be spot on but at the risk of creasing the wing!

Do I wish I'd spent another £280 on genuine wingsnot sure that would be worth the extra, it's a mini-project for me and will be sold-on once completed - I'm not sure I'd get that money back! Only time will tell.

Mechanically this car has has a fortune spent already so not much to do there - hopefully.

Lots of final polishing and waxing ahead of me but gonna wait a week or so for the paint to fully cure - it's only bodyshop clean in the photo's (few hand-prints and dust LOL).

Need to get the wheels booked in for re-furb now - other than that it's tidying a few bits of interior trim.

She's gonna be lovely when I've done.
