    Hi All,

    I've just purchased the above vehicle and it has rust as follows:

    Both front wings bubbling round lip;
    Small patch on thin rear panel (panel under the boot lid / number plate that runs across top of r/bumper);
    Small patch on either sill just below leading edge of front doors.

    Basically I'm looking for advice on how best to fix (new wing or repair, places to get the work done (near Manchester preferably) and likely costs, hopefully not too

    After that its the wheels for refub and a couple of bits of interior trim want re-glueing but pretty sure I know tyhe people to do these for me already.

    Thanks in advance

    If you post some pics up mate of the rust areas it will be easier for us to advise what the most efficient method would be

    Don't think you can increase image size in photobucket?

    I've just resized 1st pic using Windows Office Picture Manager but due to original image size(160x120) the resized pic is blurry,
    suggest you retake pics with better camera or don't resize image in photobucket ?

    Chris - you were posting image links to the small, thumbnail versions of your photos, so I have removed the "th_" in the filename of the images and now the full size photos are showing

    So is it new wings or will a good paint job be sufficient?

    The other small bits are going to have to be localised repairs as im sure changing the side members (thin panel that runs under the doors) and tail trim (thin panel that runs under the boot lid) is gonna be costly.

    quoted £600 to spray front bumper, bonnet and wings - based on providing two new wings at my cost which are circa £400 from BMW. Ouch.

    Will be getting a couple more quotes but I don't think the spraying gets much cheaper than that - best I casn hope for is sourcing two wings a bit cheaper me thinks?
