Hey guys, as you may have read i posted a long whiney thread about seeing if im gonna keep it or not and the answer is YES! so here's some of the problems i have with body work.

Right i went to the body shop and they said i could get it sorted on the front end for roughly £275 but they wouldnt keep it over night - which means the laquer wouldnt be hardened surely?

Anyway this is the issue he'd fix.

    N/S DMG:

    O/S How it should be:

Now i'm wondering why my light trim isnt fitting properly under my light, is it down to me bolting my light too far back? Is it possible to move my light forwards about 2mm.

I could get a 2nd hand Bonnet and Wing for £155 (which would surely fix my problems? I'd only get parts with minor scratches that would be t-cutable)

Here's some other issues i have that i would like to rectify as cost efficiantly as possible

    Scratch on window:

    Bubbles Paint on Pillar:

    Strange Scratch on Rear Quarter:

    Key Scratch on Bootlid:

    Minor Dint on Boot Rim:

I really appreciate people taking their time to help me out.

    Hi,

He wouldn't need to keep the car overnight for the laquer to harden if it was painted properly in a booth and baked off, then cooled

If you go down the route of getting better panels, there is a slim chance that the colour could be slightly out anyway, each paint code can have a few different variations, yellower, greener, greyer etc, silver can be quite a difficult colour to match! (ford diamond white has about 7 diffent shades)

Personally, i would try a few different bodyshops or get a quote from a mobile smart repairer for all the work just to see if there is much diffence in price then go from there.

As for your lights, there should be a way of adjusting, i'm sure someone will be along shortly to point you in the right direction

    Thanks Mess.

As for the comment on the bodywork specialist i've shopped around, most people want around 500 to fix it... i got a good deal with JJ (burton) for £260.

Yeah i think i should be able to move my lights forwards a bit. I'll give it a go at some point.
