Glad to hear that you have got it all sorted out and got a refund finally. Makes me feel more positive about my own situation. Finally got a response from seller (via ebay) on the final day of the dispute to say that they would call me "to rectify the problem" - they DIDN'T.
I had originally asked for a replacement but after seeing yours have decided not to as would not be any use to me either. At the end of the tenth day i have changed my dispute to a claim and asked for full refund instead. Have i done that correctly ? I went into my dispute on ebay and emailed customer support requesting it be changed to a dispute ?
Did you refund include the postage costs as well ? Do you have to return the bumpers to the seller ? if not i'd advise sell both and buy original item if you can find one.
If you've escalated it to a full claim then it should show on your dispute page that it is waiting for a response from the seller, if the seller does reply then you have to reply to what his response is. If no satisfactory outcome can be resolved between the buyer and seller then Paypal will decide the outcome.

However, if the seller does exactly the same with you as he did with me (i.e.: nothing) then you'll win by default and get all monies back.

Also, I did have to call Paypal myself to get the refund after the 10th day of the claim going in, they then had to contact Paypal in Germany to decide if my claim was valid enough to warrant a refund. If you've used the resolution centre for all correspondence with no replies from the seller you'll be fine.

Edit: And yes, I still have both bumpers here and haven't had any contact from the seller requesting them back. I'll more than likely Ebay the M3 style one but I have no idea what to do with the first one that is too big?

Cheers for the update. I was supposed to get a 48 hour response from ebay ref the dispute. Should have been 09.35 monday morning. No reply so called them last night, took twenty minutes, three operators and re-stating of all of the information on the dispute.
But got the full refund (item and postage) !!!

It was in my paypal account within twenty minutes of the call, but has been paid to me by paypal themselves?? Guess they chase the seller for their money back now.
Not been requested to return the bumper either. They suggested as the bracket is broken i should put in the bin and i agreed.

However have still got the grille, mouldings and fog lights..... for free

Brilliant! Glad you got refunded too.

Surely the seller must realise by now his mouldings are wrong?

Like yourself, I too have the black trims + fogs + mesh, but also have that other bumper too with the mesh.

I think I'll be listing the bumper that'll fit back on Ebay and binning the other one as I can't see what it'll fit?

Once they're gone I'll be on the hunt for an OEM skin and be fitting that!

Soot, any idea how much you are looking for the bumper that will fit a saloon? (The M3 rep type one)

Would be interested if the price is right and it isn't too far away to come and collect.

Hi do you know anybody with an M3 ? They measure wider than the saloon due to the extra wide wings. It might fit that.... although don't think they ever had mouldings inset into them. Still if it does fit i'd imagine someone would buy it at the right price. Let me know and i could do the same with mine.

I ordered an E36 Mtech bumper from this guy. And guess what..........?

    I get an E46 M3 bumper instead......
To be fair, the bumper is superb quality for what I paid. It my fault anyway, I knew about this thread and thought I would chance it anyway as it was so cheap. Just got the hassle of a replacement or refund now.
I couldnt be arsed to wait as Id book my painter in, so ordered another bumper from Cooksferry and get that fitted while I try to sort this out with Ebay....

If the seller does his usual non-responsiveness through the Resolution Centre on Paypal then you'll get your money back and get to keep the bumper too.

Mr Binman, have replied to you.
