Am looking at a light upgrade after summer and was wondering if the lights from newer models would fit as a direct swap or not.

Personally I don't think the front lights do, but the wife is 50/50.

I think the rear lights all look the same though, but want confirmation on this. Do they retrofit throughout the E46 range or not?

Hi mate, no they done. The light board is totally different! As are the plugs etc.

I'm looking at doing a retrofit by making an adaptor! But if you don't fancy doing this then you are probably better off looking on E-bay for either the LED upgrades or facelif t kits. Usually around £115.

    Hope that helps.
If it aint broke, don't fix it!!!

Really didn't think there was that much effort put into the various facelifts, but definately wrong. I've looked at a few of the fronts, and they look very different.

Oh well, guess I will look for some aftermarket rears then on fleabay lol
