    Hi

Wondering if anyone can help me here. Im fitting some M sport kick plates but im having a bugger of a time getting the standard ones off.

One was ripped to bits so i just wriggled it free but the other three will just not budge. Is there a special method to remove them ?

    Thanks

Small update. I got the plates off OK, however several of the white clips which hold them down are still in the chasis

Any tips on getting them out ? They only lift up about 1mm before stopping - its a tapered plug. I need them so i can fit my shinny new ones

If they are the square headed clips like on the E36 they are an arse to get out...
I always end up breaking them, so I order new ones from the dealer...

Yeah they are. I broke all but 2 of them last week when I did the kickplates on my 318is...
They are only pence each from the dealer though....

Still got to order mine as its only held on with 2 clips at the moment...

Hmm. I have four in front of me, the rest are still on the chasis

I have a plan tomorrow for getting them out though, i have (no idea what its called) a chisel like item which is split in the middle and very thin - thinking i might be able to wedge them up.

    Howd you break yours ?

The clips were old and brittle. As son as I tried to get them out they just broke..
Just be gentle with them, hopefully you will get them out....
