Mark for what it's worth and please take this in the correct manner, sell the mirrors and buy some complete units.

It is just the backing plates you need but they are like rocking horse ****

Normally JUST mirrors come about because they have been stolen from someone's car

You can only buy mirrors AND backing plates from the dealers and for that you need to provide them with a chassis number and proof of ownership IIRC

I sold my complete units in good working order for 85 quid, just to give you an idea of what you can get them for

thanks for the advice RYM !

I did check your listing as I would have had them especially at that price, it seems from ringing around that breakers are looking for £150 a set, can't find any oem at your sort of price.

Wish I had noticed yours a bit quicker.

Why am i struggling to find a reasonably priced set of m3 mirrors complete ?

£150 from a breaker on here is too much !

ebay selection are either non oem or incomplete !

i have found a set but they are units only - no electrics, can i take the motors and electrics out of my existing stock mirrors and transplant ? is it a difficult job ??

my mirrors won't fetch much anyway so i might as well take the buggers apart !

    cheers guys

IIRC theyre £600 new from a dealer, so £150 is pretty reasonable, mine are reps they were £140 brand new, electric, heated, blue glass etc.

Spot on I thought, but you need to paint them as they come black

Edit, you may be able to fit the electrics from yours, getting the glass out without breaking it is the hard part apparently

that's not a bad price for electric reps, I wanted oem so they were heated and electric, where did you get yours from ?

Just remember the base plates are metal and the mirror housings are plastic, so will probably need different prep.

Also the glass is very hard to remove, might want to mask the glass and leave it in
