    Hi iv got the button heater control unit and it keeps cutting out, iv been offered the 3 dial heater unit will that work in my car or will i need the button style unit?

    That didnt really answer my question about the dial heater but cheers will get this part tomorrow

    Dial one won't work if it requires bowden cables.

    Ok thanks mate, Iv got a new 47 uF capacitor today just gotta solder it in and see if it works again properly

    Right ok somethings gone wrong somewhere i followed this write up of getting the heater unit working done exactly what it said now iv got no screen, the lights go dim when i turn the car on and iv got no heat or air at all coming through?

    Check your soldering and make sure you put the capacitor on the right way round! I've done three of these following the guide without any trouble.

    Iv been told that desoldering wick is the wrong thing to use and i have over heated the circuit board i should have used a desoldering pump. never mind i will get a new one well not new new but another one from somewhere
