    Hi all,

The interior of my E39 is beige leather with the vavona wood trim.

The trim is badly scratched in some places, looking at my options on sorting this.

Is the trim actually wood or just plastic with venier on it ? Could it be rubbed down and re-laquered ?

Alternatively my mate can carbon wrap it all for nothing But im not sure how good this would look with the beige interior. The centre console is black, black matts.

    Thoughts ?

its not real wood mate, its plastic veneered. you'll be fine rubbing it down and spraying it, loads do.

i reckon the carbon would look good. get yourself a second set (vavona goes for pennies as no one wants it) get your mate to wrap it and see how it looks. It takes no time at all to swap it all out.

I've got a black ash trim set spare, shame two of the bits are chipped otherwise it would have been perfect. Not seeing vavona going anywhere cheap ! I actually like it it's just scratched to hell. I think one of them has been replaced too as it doesn't match the rest.

    Hmmm...

How do you remove them (without damaging) ?

they pull off mate. i got my fingers behind mine and pulled. the centre console is a bit more fiddly but a 10 minute job. There are loads of guides for it. I know of a set going in grangemouth for 30 quid

    I know what i'll do.

get an off cut of the wrap and lay it on the trim first see how it looks - rather than mess about buying another trim. That £30 can go towards other bling
