    Well i went to the bodyshop that is fixing my coupe,thing is the rear window seal bits at the bottom corners of the rear window are missing??these were on the car(a bit perished) when it went in.The guy at the place says they wern't there!!!!Can i get these and how easy to fit?

    Hi Mate - You can buy the whole set of seals from BMW very cheaply. Thing is I am not sure whether the small bit (which I presume you are referring too) is with the top or bottom seal. see no 9 in attached link / diagram.

    I would also like to know how easy to replace these are gents, just waiting for BMW to get the bits in-stock for me.

    mine used to be missing i wouldn worry about them i never had any probs with them missing. i think the screen has to come out to put one of them on i think

    The rear window will have to come out to put new trim on and i should imagine you will get pr ewarned that it may not come out in one piece ( though if done right no reason why not) once out the new trim is placed on glass and glued back in. approx 2 hours work and probably for labour to do job approx (£60-£90) dependent on where you go. trim is only decoration it is no way any kind of seal.

    yeah i know its only decoration but the point is these were one my rear window before the bodyshop got it,but they say they wasn't and i wanted to know also if these had been removed and the bodyshop got new seals then shouldnt they of replaced them?Since it aint an easy job i will get on the phone to them first thing......thanks for your help guys.
