Hi Dudes, I have a 98 bmw 323i convertible and it has the sandlewood colour leather seats. the colour is ok but the seats are starting to crack and get very dry. i have tried all the leather cream and they still look like the back of an old ladies legs. so i have decided to buy a brand new set of WHITE leather seats (front and back) and rear panel + door card inserts to match. NOW does anyone know where i can buy a brand new set that are copies or anyone that can retrim in white leather. i phone up a BMW dealership and asked for a price of a full set and he laughed at me and then put me on hold for 20 minutes. did bmw ever make White leather for the e36 convertible. i dont know. i think it would look nice against my black paint work. i really do need to replace my seat, i keep having to repair the underside of the passenger front one. My Seats have got more joints in them than bob marleys trouser pocket.

WOW they look fantastic. i am now very interested. is it a proper Dye or a very flexable paint. where do you buy the spray from and do they do it in the sandlewood colour (i dont know the real name of that bmw colour leather) . if i can remove all the seats and spray them then that would be excellent. i know a guy who is a pro paint sprayer, i could take the seats to him with the leather dye/paint.

    hello mate
the kit is a leather dye kit, and very good you can get any colour you want, you just have to send them the colour match and they will do it, if you got a spray guy to do it its a pease of piss, the web site is www.furnitureclinic.co.uk
when you have it done please post pictures, have a look at my to do page and you will see. good luck

Thanks rjb, I will have to seriously consider this then... 100 quid is a lot less than even a second-hand set of seats of eBay, not to mention re-trim.

Does this stuff change the "feel" of the seat in any way? I really like the softness and the matt surface (where it's not cracked lol) of mine. I would hate to turn it into this glossy and creaky horrible stuff...

    Hi Quiver
No my seats are still soft and you can applie what ever finish you like, my seats have not yet been sprayed with the mate finish yet, just the super gloss which you have to applie before the mate, my seats do feel a little firmer but that because leather is pulled tighter by the process, sorter feel like they are new

    Cheers rjb
