according too the mother and autoglym sealers they go on after waxing mark..i wouldve thot that was correct since its basically sealing the wax like a clear coat lacquer does on some paints..a bit extra protection never does any harm..if a practised what a preach a wouldnt hav 4 kids by now

Using a decent hard wax such as HD you don't need a sealent after! You can use them insted, but i'm not a big fan. They don't offer the protection again stuff like bird pap etc that a decent hard wax does!

Car looks brilliant in the pics mate, such a rewarding colour to clean and look after!

You will have to get some side shots up!

Have you dressed the plastics and tyres with anything?

    Keep it up.
If it aint broke, don't fix it!!!

Hi Adam funny you should mention dressing the trim i came earlier to a bottle of C4 trim restorer http://gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars...trim-restorer/

First impressions were how small the bottle was just a little bigger than a nail varnish ! its expensive i know however im fed up with buying umteen trim dressings only to see the grey appear again in six weeks !

ok first thing was to rub the plastics down with Isopropyl ( £2.79 ebay ) then rubbed the C4 on with the cotton pads provided, worst place was the wing mirror plastics (wish id took a before picture now) they were grey and washed out.

As we all would expect it went on easy and everything is back to black as the song says, pleased with the finish its like a matt black very classy so the real test is how long it lasts ! up to two years according to the website, watch this space ! ..oh and i just had enough to do all the trim with the mudflaps getting the last drops!

Next job im looking at getting rid of the orange lenses, been looking around and theres so many variants to choose from lol and maybe a black grill

Been folllowing your post Adam on the Vpower V normal Petrol and yes im converted ,put £30.00 in her last week and i can tell the difference !

Heres a couple of pics .....

Glad you have found the thread useful mate, doing it out of curiosity really because I have always been the one saying there will be no dig! How wrong was I...

Car looks brill with the trim done mate! Sounds like your doing everything I am to mine! I'm getting rid of the Orange on the side and rear next. I'm going to use red tinting spray, that way blends in with the car. I have done it in PhotoShop and looks really clean and modern.

Keep up the good work mate.

Been thinking about the smoked tinted look myself with black grills, think it will go well with red and if i was really going for it black wheels ! however sometimes i like the originality of the car and would hate her to look chavvy so in the real world changes would be subtle

let me know how you get on with the red tint spray and post a pic !
