    What im after is :

Indicators that also have sidelights in them that work also when your normal sidelights/mainbeam is on!

Ive seen them on Bmw's abroad and stuff but wondering where to get them?
Or possibly thinking to make my own!

Any help or info would be great

    thanks.

Hmm, are you on about when they light up amber constantly?

I think theyre illegal in this country, maybe wrong though. But I would imagine buying them from abroad (a country where the lights are used) would probably be easiest)

    Yeah buddy thats the ones,

Im actualy after black depo indicators but i would also have a set of those too..

Or what i have thought of is converting my indicator to work with sidelights but blink when indicator is used

That sounds like it could be very difficult to wire up. I think you would have to buy an aftermarket indicator relay if anything (not sure but maybe reversing the polarity of the relay would do it so that they flash off, as opposed to flashing on like regular ones)

I did this on my old RS by simply drilling a hole in the back of the indicator casing and then refixing the sidelights...easy mod, took all of 5 minutes to do and looked good. Not sure how easy it would be on a BMW!? Worth a poke though.

if you unplug the normal sidelight your indicator will will automatically be utilised as a make do sidelight! this is a safety feature built in from the factory so you can never be without sidelights
    It's a ragtop thing, you wouldn't understand

    Oh yeah...

I forgot about that, my car did it when it couldn't handle the led sidelights at the time I never realised that was what it was meant to do until a while back. When it first did it I was like sh!t, I've fried something

Is that feature on e36's too then?
