    as title says really would a e46 front bumper fit my e36 compact or not as i have the chance of getting one cheap and thought it would look a bit diffrent, any help would be great..

    hey mark..could be wrong but i think the e46 is very slightley wider at th front...if thats the case your tokn bodyshop visit and more boodle!!

    Which e46 model you talking about regarding the bumper? not a compact I take it? if it is an e46 compact bumper I would say you were shit out of luck. Think they are totally different if memory serves.

    Yes it can-maybe some modification is needed but if you want proof have a look at A20RYM's photo gallery-That would be an E46 bumper on an E36 if I am not mistaken

    You can buy E46-style bumpers for E36's too.

    Look at the bumper in my signature below

    This is not an E46 bumper but it is a direct replacement manufactured from ABS plastic by Rieger.

    Genuine BMW E46 fog lamps and brake ducts are easily fitted to this bumper too, I have a set that I am waiting to fit at the moment

    If this is the style you want then you will not regret choosing this bumper

    There are many cheap imitations on the market, beware as they are poor quality and made of fibreglass which I would urge you to avoid
