Anything like that, no more nails, stick like ****

I've used silicone for a number of jobs in the past

If all else fails? crack open the silicone

    Have fun

One thing I will mention, there are several clips that run along the top of the door, these can also fail and need replacing so it would be good to know beforehand what the problem is exactly before the day that you are going to tackle the repair, just in case you need to get the clips from BMW

The metal ones that go across the top of the door? I think there are 6 each side? I'll go and check quickly as my car is erm, a little bare at the moment

6 metal clips across the top and 11 plastic popper clips around the door

I suppose I could've checked on www.realoem.com but it was quicker to just put my trainers on and have a look
