    Hi guys,

I have left my vert sitting underneath a tree for a few weeks. Washed it, and now can see where sap has got on the car.

How do i get it off? I have tried using Meguairs Paint restorer/prep and it gets 75% off but leaves what looks like water marks of sap still on the paintwork.

    Any ideas?

    Amos

Clay is certainly the way forward for sap, my old 405 was covered and it all went with a good clay. You will need some rapid detailer to keep things lubed, Im currently using Autoglym rapid detailer which I find lasts longer than Megs Quik detailer

What do you do with the detailer fluid? Does it get squirted on the car prior to claying it?

Yep, just stops the clay dragging on the paint You can get away with a mix of car shampoo and water as a lube.

As Mark says, you just spray it onto the body, I find that doing small areas at a time is easier followed by a wipe of the residue with a microfibre cloth.
The benefit of detailing spray over shampoo/water is that the spray is soap free so it wont leave any watermarks behind.
And dont do it when the paint is overly hot, will take much longer and use much more lube to keep things flowing.

Mark recommended this stuff for me and it really is quite straight forward to use.... Much cheaper than Helfrauds.

    It's got my vote....

Then to proper pimp it, as recommended by Dailydodgy Collinite 476S that I bought from Egay....
