Hi, I thought I'd drop the hood today on my vert - what a mistake !!!

A small hole has turned I to a 6" crack so if it rains in knackered :(

I found this thread telling me how to replace it

http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/f3/e36-vert-rear-window-replacement-t60006/

What I'd liketo know is how much is a screen and where is the best place to get one and is it as easy to fit as the thread suggests.

I'm gutted as if I can't fix it by Saturday I can't go to the midlands meet :(

Just what I needed ???

£130, thats not so bad - I've found a place that will fit one for £160 or a bit more if stitching is required so thats not bad.

The £160 one says the screen has a green tint, is that normal (I dont know as mine has always looked hazy :D).

I rang BMW and they want £340 for just the screen plus fitting on top :eek

Is there anything I should look out for on a non-genuine one as the above link one looks like a decent deal ?

Just to square the circle, I had the screen done yesterday and I am really pleased with the job - I can actually see out the back of the car now :D

Tony was great and I didn't even have to wait around for the job to be done as he dropped me off at the Transport museum and picked me up when he was done - top man :thumbsup

If anyone needs a screen or roof repair done I can wholeheartedly recommend this chap :thumbsup :thumbsup
