I've got one, not exactly the same but this type...

You can move the ashtray, coin holder and cupholders around.

The one you have pictured is a common one piece design predominantly found on USA bimmers, and the similar ones for RHD are no longer available from a dealer and are rare as hell.
As for the one billywizz1984 has, that is still available from a dealer and can be found on eBay as well. I have one in each of my bimmers and I think they are bloody handy especially since you can rearrange the sections to suit your needs.

If you can get one cheap enough on eBay the go for it, otherwise FYI I paid £32 for one at a dealer last year (they were selling on eBay for about £28-30 at the time and it was such a small difference that I just went ahead and bought a brand new one from my local dealer )

FYI.... if you have the center arm rest, and if you rearrange the sections and place the cup holder up front next to the coinholder... BE VERY CAREFULL if you have a drink in it and you're driving as you can accidentaly knock it over when you change gears
