Hi Steve, Yeah, I know, thats why I painted the bottom of it in satin black, so if it does get damaged, I can repair it myself and spray it without having to worry about paying for the bodyshop to redo it in met silver. Easier and cheaper.

Don't know wether or not to smooth/blend in the end/side parts where the splitter sticks to the bumper or leave that edge.

I left the edges as I couldnt be bothered with the smoothing....

IMO it would look sweet with the edges blended in.....

Hmm, I may do that then before taking to the bodyshop. Can't find any pix of it already done tho, just incase it may look a bit strange.

I took the bumper to the body shop today. Got 3 quotes. 2 x 175 and 150 tops the boss said. Done. I left it there today. I'm all excited now.

Anyway, meanwhile, I fitted a set of cheapy halo's and VERY cheap HID's last Tuesday, and have taken a pic just now. The halo's were from my nephew who got them in Hong Kong a couple of years ago, but never fittd them, so I gave him a fiver, and the HID kit was 1 night old. I got this kit from a friend who had it fitted Thursday night, and said it wasn't blue enough(6000k), so I offfered him 25 quid for it, which he duelly took.

Alot of people have commented on how bright and white the lights are now, which even I think are rather too. At least now I can actually see the road.

This is the exact halo kit I have that is on Ebay at the mo, priced at 15+4.72 postage.

    Nice work Charley
6000k HIDs really do improve vision at night the improvement is huge, you got them at a bargain price too. 8000k can look nice but they're too bluey and on wet, dark roads they don't offer that great vision compared to 6000k.

Fanx Joe. Originally, I was just gna fit the halos, but figured seeing as the headlights were out anyway, might as well stick the HID's in.

Ok, picked up the sprayed up bumper this morning, cost 150 painting. Just gotta wait for a dry day so I can paint the 4 posts black and the ALPINA name. The bodyshop actually sprayed the whole thing silver, but I said just leave it for now. Just makes the front even more lower looking now. Being all plain silver atm looks sooo plain and boring. Come on dry weather!!

Looks nice. Is that the wobbly wall behind your car?

Looking good Charley, already looking sweet. Don't forget to post pics when you've finished the other little paint bits
