    evening all!!

    i have noticed a few people are taking out the inner headlight glass ( the magnafied bit in the dipped beam side) will this effect visability?

    will it stop the car from passing mot?

    Why would you want to remove it ? (I actually have no idea what part your talking about, just sounds a bit odd.)

    Its called delensing the headlights...its purely a cosmetic enhancement and this should have been posted in the bodywork and styling forum with the correct thread title for the best response

    because my understanding is that some people remove them to install ccfl eyes correct me if im wrong

    You can do however I have CCFL's with the lenses in I also have HID's and shrouds too Its OK I'll move the thread across

    Sorted for you....

    There is no reason it should fail an MOT as long as the beam pattern is correct and at the right height...
    Maybe worth trying a cheap set of second hand headlights first. You can pick them up on ebay for pennies and if it doesnt work you have not lost much...

    thanks steve, i have another set in the garage as i scraped my last bmw (i am aschamed to say that) so i will give it a go at the weekend. how do i do it?
