I have been waxing, polishing, clay baring the car more recently and its then had a spell sat up, its been cleaned but not as often as normal.

Since its been sat up I have noticed this, and its getting worse?

    Anyone kno?

This is on the bonnet, only seems to be coming from the bonnet as well, every other panel is fine.

where's the car parked? under a tree perhaps or bushes, a good polish should sort it

Looks like sun fade/water etching. Does it feel rough? and have you tryed any products on it yet?

I'd pull out the compound and the buffer..

someone said it could be the clay bar?

Not used anything on this, always use a lambs wool mit, two buckets, polish, wax, clay etc etc. It could do with a machine polish to get rid of the swirl marks, just hope this comes off. If not its a front and rear end respray as the paintwork is doing my nut in. Black shows everything up

Is it possible that you have actually started to remove the laquer completely polishing it in this way and what you can see is weathering getting under what is left of the lacquer and it turning milky..
