Right here is a no holes barred view of them and to be honest i am gutted with the drivers one as its much worse than i thought and offside not to bad.

treated them with karust with 2 coats, rubbed down

today ground them down and they started breaking on me big time so ground right down in the time i had-decided to buy the following

    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165625

also bought 100 grit sandpaper, block etc and had my colour made up for me too

Obviously its gonna be much more work than i thought but going to take pics throughout and show them and i wont hide a thing either.bare in mind i have never done it before so any comments to help me would really help

HERE IS WHERE I UP TO BUT GONNA RUB IT DOWN AGAIN,FILL IT,TREAT IT,SEAL.IT AND THEN IF I AM HAPPY PAINT AND LAQUER IT

Think this is gonna take a while to sort but i will do it for myself if nobody else

Why did you go for fibre glass mate?

I would have used bodyfiller from the beginning, much easier to shape than fibre glass plus pinhole can be filled with filler primer

ive used that stuff before, only use a little bit of the red one from the tube... otherwise it'll crumble after a while

General rule - mix pea size hardener to golf ball size filler

the more hardener you use, the quicker it will set and it might not last so long.

also filler is porous so don't leave bare filler out in this weather, spray it over with some gloss paint as soon as you can, primer is also porous

Not much time today as i was sorting another problem with the car(ticking noise) but quick rub of both arches and applied filler, harderner and some gloss as advised and will have another go thursday and hopefully primer and first coat of paint by the weekend.
car looks a mess at the moment but it will be worth it hopefully and saved me having new arches when i cant justify the cost at the moment and worse case scenario i will have a welder friend cut me new ones later in the year
