Can anyone recommend a good convertible roof cleaner? I have tried the Turtlewax kit (cleaner and waterproofer) but I still have green mildew marks n the stitching and bird muck marks which I can't seem to shift?

I have cleaned my roof 3 times in total and also tried using a soft bristle scrubbing brush.

Also does anyone know if I can buy roof dye? my roof is black but looking a bit faded after 15 years.

I've heard of renovo mate, members on this forum rate that product aswell. its around 35quid I think on ebay and it'll colour your roof black again. I'm going to do mine in spring (cos im cheap and i use the car all year round lol).

In the meantime why not try autoglym hood renovator, I used it and its pretty good and at 20quid a pop its not bad, easily do for 3 applications from the cleaner and ultraproofer. Although it does take some "gentle" persuasion to get the mildew marks out.

I haven't used BMW's cleaner, but can recommend their protector.
Think it was £16 from the dealer on its own.

In this thread I washed the hood gently with soap & sponge then treated. The BMW stuff makes up loads from concentrate with water - you can easily get three treatments out of the bottle.

Roof looks super - a nice deep black.
    Water beads off it nicely.

Thanks for that just has a look on ebay at renovo and they average about 20 quid for the cleaner and protector. Are the roofs on beamers vinyl or canvas?
