    as above im thinking of putting one on my 318is coupe has anyone done this and does it make any difference

    Yes it makes a hell of a difference to stiffness and general handling but you will need to drill a few holes m8.

    If that puts you off then just buy a strut brace.

    X-brace is better than a strut brace-rear strut brace is pretty much for show only.If you want to improve handling then X-brace is the way forward

    I have to agree on this as well Had and the x brace on my old saloon what a difference could not put on the touring as got coilovers installed, and with bumps I go over I could of ripped the brace off

    if it all adds up in stiiffness i will keep the rear strut brace thats if it will fit as iv got 2 12in and 2 15in subs in the boot
