    Hi all,

I got a spoiler made by hersteller to fit to my 1991 saloon.

Before I start drilling holes in the wrong place, can anyone offer any help/ advise on fitting this ?

There should be 3 bolts on the bottom of each end, but 1 has come off each side, I was going to place an other in and use fiberglass to hold it there - would that be ok ?

I have had a look at the inside of my boot and it is double skined (as per pics) . How do you get a round that? Cut a hole on the inside ?

    Please any help !!!

The pic below shows a similar spoiler.

The spoiler usually mount on the outside seam of the boot lid.

They're a pain to fit to be honest, getting the holes lined up etc...

Get some Tippex, paint it around the bolt holes on the underside of the soiler's feet, and whilst still wet, place the spoiler carefully ontothe boot lid, apply a little pressure at both ends so the Tippex marks where your holes need to be. Lift of the spoiler carefully and you should have some white marks with circles in the middle.

Then, using a larger hole cutter bit, drill from the underside of the boot lid to cut holes approximately where the bolts will need to go.

OR, this plan needs 3 people. You could, as was done with mine, drill out the big holes on the underside, with the bootlid open, 1 person either end holding the spoiler in place, the 3rd person drills 4 x small pilot holes through from the underside, through the big holes, and intothe spoiler itself. Be careful not to drill straight through the spoiler!! Then, using self tapping screws, screw into the spoiler using the new pilot holes.
