    Hi all,

    I picked up my car a couple of days ago for virtually no money, everything seems sound apart from some nasty, flaky rust at the front edge of the sunroof hole.

    So... I can pick up a roof panel for a few hundred and I doubt spraying it would cost much but is fitting it a huge job? I wouldn't be able to do it myself as I'm a mallet fisted idiot when it comes to mechanics so it'd go to a shop to get done.

    Worth doing or leave it?

    It would probably be easier, quicker and cheaper to find a car will the correct colour, and swap the complete sunroof mechanism.
    Taking the sunroof cartridge to bits is an awkward job to get the top plate out.
    You probably could take a s/h sunroof section to a sprayers if the colour didn't match
