alreet there all just an idea ive tryed and used here , because im in a 95 beemer obviously almost all of my black plastics have ended up sunbleached a shade of shi**y grey lol (around back window door handles etc were more white than black !) , i got sick of going round the thing with a finger sized peice of rag and back to black stuff which always ends up getting on windows etc is a pain and doesnt last anyways - i had the idea of actually painting the things with a matt black paint so did and it worked great ! didnt mask the car up just simply went round with a kids small paintbrush ,it took feckin ages but the results are bang on - i was wondering if anyone knew if there was such thing as a matt finish laquer to sorta seal in what ive done ? - will stick piccy on sometime when i find time

For use on raw plastics though so you will have to remove the paint..

    Did mine ages ago.

Came up black as the ace of spades from a slightly faded greyish black.

    Proper job.

Could be what I need as the black trim around the car, handles and mirrors is looking awful... may go get some after work. Just black matt lacquer?

If i were you i'd use primer underneath the mat black paint.

I didnt first time and the finish wasnt good, then had to re-do it all again.

I have got some gtechniq C1 which is the daddy of the gttechnig products and have used it to seal my wheels.. it also works a treat on the plastics as its near enough the same product.. it just requires some prep to get it clean as a whistle as it chemically bonds to the plastic..

Sounds good to me mate, guessing for larger trim you use the brush.. and a tin or spray? Or spray onto bush.....
