Hi, I have been trying to connect my MP3 player to my radio. I used the DIY method but I can't get it to go on auxiliary mode. My radio is a Business Tape with CD changer in the boot. The serial number is 31524103 and manufacture date is 07/03.

If I bought an auxiliary adapter from the dealer would it work or do these do the same thing as the one I made myself?

Has anyone else managed to get it working with a tape player or will it only work on CD head units?

Below are the details from my radio and the back connections.

    Thanks

    hi guys,

I have a 52 reg 318 with the cd unit. I am going to do the seriel check but when pressing the mode button all I get is TR and Radio. Cant get auxialry. Is it the mode button u press to get aux or the 'm' button. Confused.

help would be much appreciated. Anyone got this to work without the Aux being displayed ?

I had the BMW tape deck...the way I got it to work is fit a wire with the audio jack on the end, onto the inputs for the CD changer and job done.so when i switch to CD mode (mine never switched to AUX mode), it picks up audio from the 3.5" audio jack! perfect !

    Hi Beamerboi

When you attached a lead to the cd player section of the back of the stereo, did you loose the use of the CD multiplayer?

    Cheers
