    First make some ramps from concrete blocks and woodbushing replacement 003.jpg
    Get yourself a 16mm socket and a decent jack.Then remove the shield under the car.bushing replacement 004.jpg
    There are 8 bolts holding it on.You also need to undo some screws that attach plastic covers to the shield towards the front and back of the shield.Once all these are undone the shield will come off by pushing it forward and then lowering it down.easy.bushing replacement 006.jpg

    A large flat head screw driver helps by pushing in to the gap between lollipop and body and turning.This should pry the bush housing from the car body.bushing replacement 009.jpgbushing replacement 010.jpg
    The whole wheel,hub,suspension now moves as the bush is removed.As seen by the position of the wheel in the arch.
    Next get the puller on.Its not straight forward and theres not much room but I got a 2 leg puller on.bushing replacement 011.jpg
    First effort got it off some of the way but repositioned it to get another go and she came off no problem.bushing replacement 012.jpg

    Old and new.Alot of movement in the old ones.
    Putting new bushes on to arms is a case of making sure you are putting them on the right way by visually lining them up and checking they are the right way round,then lubricating with some hand soap or washing up liquid(on inside of the bush and arm of suspension.) I then pushed the bush on as much as I could manually,then used a length of 3x2 timber,about 30 cm long, and a hammer.(this avoids damaging the end of the bush.)2 hits with the hammer and they were on.I checked the position of the arm in the old bush before I removed them.bushing replacement 015.jpgbushing replacement 016.jpgbushing replacement 017.jpgbushing replacement 002.jpg
    This is where the jack comes in handy.There is a cross member that the shield bolts onto just behind the steering rack.Use that as a jack point and raise the car a bit to take the pressure off the wheels so you can move them and the whole hub,suspension setup to get the new bushes into place,and get the bolts back in and tightened.

    Get right in under the car to find the holes for the bolts that hold the shield in place.They are angled funny.You,ll see.
