I am new to the site and have just bought a 318 convertible 1996.
Now I have an everyday car that I use ( bmw mini ) and have many years of no claims on that.
Am I right in thinking that there may be a company that will let me insure my 1996 convertible as a classic car policy, ie low premium, agreed value, restricted mileage?
I have had many of these policies before on classic cars with the premium being as low as £100 !!! but they were over 20 years old minimum.
I have called most classic insurers though and they seem to think it is too modern.
I thought I read somewhere that you can insure a car on a classic policy if over 15years old but does not seem to be the case.
Is there anyone out there that does this?
Trouble is if I just insure on a normal policy none of my no claims are considered. Ive got a quote pof £650 as the cheapest so far but its only a weekend and summer car so wanted a classic policy.
Have I got to bite the bullet and pay this massive figure?
Im 45 with full no claims on my everyday car.
Thankyou for any info!
