    hi guys

me and my mate were doing my oil change the other day and he said to me do you think any parts from an m3 would fit on this?

he has a very nice e36 M3 and we was looking under his bonnet and he said 'they look similar'

so my question is would anything from under the bonnet fit my e36 325 to maybe make it faster??

probably going to be a big NO but thought i'd ask!

A lot of parts on the E36 are interchangeable, but you'll need to be more specific - otherwise it'll take a very long reply.

Also, are you referring to a 3.0 or 3.2 M3?

As already mentioned most parts are interchangeable but we need to know which car they are coming from

If you are trying to fit coupe indicators or rear lights to your saloon then the answer will be no. If you are trying to fit a complete M3 bodykit then it won't matter is it's any E36 so long as it's not compact rear bumper

Bonnets differ as do front wings, the list goes on.

Same with the interior, there are differences in dash, head liner and carpets

M3 parts are always quite pricey, and there's not too much benefit to be had, but you could do the full exhaust system, full intake etc.

(I'd be more after it's front brake / suspension assembly and it's rear slip diff)

Unless you can get the parts dirt cheap, it's not really worth it. Personally I'd just stick to a decent CAI kit and get it chipped - should net you 10 - 15 bhp. Any more than that, and you'd be better off doing an engine swap, otherwise the £ per BHP doesn't look good.

Good spot, I'd just assumed he had a coupe.

    From my days of Moderating

That was the reason the car spec drop down box was introduced
