Gotta love the CIH engine! (had a GTe coupe and loved it waaay too much!!)

Had my 164,000 mile 323i on the rollers and it screamed out 10hp more than it should have done...What i lovingly refer to as a "monday morning car", which makes a change as most of my previous cars appear to have been put together on a friday afternoon!!!

Ahh I see! Yeah! 2nd hand cars are expensive there. But they normally have A/C standard or other things standard. I've looked on gumtree South Africa, and they had an e36 320i with 310000kms for R19 500 (approx. £1700) and the driver side window is faulty! hahaha Oh, you are from the south coast huh? One thing is for sure is that South Africans love their BMWs hahaha. Although, maybe it's to get away from car-jackers more quickly lol. I'd love to import a fairly new VW Citi Golf and take it to a V-Dub meet and see what they make of it lol.

Can't stand Mercs, old or new, they have a similar feel to old Jags for me, the kind of thing only two people could love - granda's or people who think it makes them appear classy.

Not a Merc in existance that makes me go "oooo, that looks nice", and if it doesn't have that appeal, couldn't care less whats under the bonnet, thats not how I roll

My neighbours got a merc, and its bog ugly, and I wish I could get a photo of her face because its obvious she thinks she's a special princess She's killing it softly too, freezing cold morning she revs the engine to buggery to warm it up quicker, then when she pulls away she plants the foot to the floor (its an auto), you can literally hear the engine and gearbox going "aaarrrgh ow ow ow". Its developed some rattles - I wonder why. I'm waiting until the morning I hear a massive bang before I point out what she's doing wrong

You know that a car finished on Monday Morning was probably started on Friday afternoon right?

But Mercs are classy LOL especially the new S class. Old mercs may not be good looking to everyone, but they are cool classics. They are kinda in the same league as the old cadillacs, old Jags and Oldsmobile lol.
