A few weeks ago I posted a question about engine torque dampers for the 328i M52 engine, as the engine was twisting under strong acceleration.
Forum member Mr OBD suggested changine the engine mounts for Vibratechnics.

I contacted Phil at Vibratechnics; he was most helpful, identified the type of mounts that i'd need & gave me a couple of options - even offered that i could send them back and exchange them for 'less harsh' ones if they were too much...

Fitted them today - god they're gorgeous! A really sexy looking piece of engineering

(Will post up some pictures if i can get a chance)

Taking the old mounts off, I found that the NSF mount had completely sheared in half above the rubber & was just sitting in place under the weight of the engine - may explain why the engine was twisting so much!!!!

Haven't actually tried them out on the road yet as the engine is currently in pieces - but will let you all know the progress when the cylinder head is back on (and the turbocharger conversion complete...)

I'm looking at getting these too. What is the ride like? Did you go for the "competition" compound?

    Cheers

I think these mounts and the rogue engineering mounts are the only "upgrade" engine mounts which have a locking feature that doesn't let them tear apart which helps prevent the engine from entering the cabin in a frontal crash

The plates on normal poly mounts will just come off as they're only bonded on.

very nice, i looked at these but were too expensive for my budget.

i replaced with normal ones and when i took my old mounts off they were in 2 pieces!
