    does any one know what numbers are stamped on us spec 3L m3 camshafts i have a 2.8 z3 i have been told that wll fit rite in ? just need to know whats stamped on them so i can find the rite ones any help would be great .

    It's going to be difficult because the have the same part numbers as Euro 325/328 cams....

    the guy selling them says thay have Cam A - 1718888m
    Cam E - 1738 369 printed on them is that any help does that tell that thay are

    i only know the number printed on the shafts them selfs that all i have to go on

    As said, the castings part number is the same on bothe m3 and 325 cams.

    Ask him to measure the lobe height from the base circle to the peak of the lobe. If the difference between the diameter size and the overall size is 9mm they will be plain 325 cams. The m3 cams should measure 9.5mm.

    You can measure them with a vernier caliper
