    Hi all,

    Have had 32 thou taken off my m43 318 cilinderhead to up the comp to around 12:1 + ported

    My question is someone on here told me that the standerd torquing for the head bolts its 30nm then 2 quater turns..

    Will i have to upp this figure or not? seeing a sthe comp has gone up abit.

    No. Use whatever the bolt or stud manufacturer recommends
    The rated torque is usually near to the max torq they can hold. Going anymore is more then likely going to leave you with stripped bolts.
    How did you up the compression btw?

    The compression will have been upped with the material that was removed from the head!!!

    Would be interesting to hear how you thing the M43 performs / feels with that work done.
    If it aint broke, don't fix it!!!
