as said before you dont have an alloy block, you have the iron block M50 engine.

Your going to be wasting a lot of time and money and you will not be happy

Start of with a bigger engine
Or fit a 2.8i lump the mod for easy and much cheaper power

If you can fined a 328i I've tuned have a go in it and see if its enough power for you

I think super charging would be a better option without the need for cams and head work

you have more money than sense. buy a better car rather than wasting your money. paypal me some of your money if you wish to spend it on crap.

On a serious note, there is no point modding a 2.0, specially when there are other engines out there. the e36 range had a m3 so buy one of those. plenty more power of which you would be happy with and super charge or turbo that. but turbo'ing a 2.0 is like setting light to your money.

I want power but not stupid power but, don't want it standard im after a bit of everything I wouldn't expexct everybody to understand what im after all that matters is what i want and I have a pic in mi mind I don't like doing what every body else dose I like to lead and some people follow im after somet that decent on fuel and I can use daily and dpac why do I have more money than sence just because im not doing what everybody else dose that's ur opinion and ur welcome to it. im a leader not a sheep like 99% of other people I have meet a load of people who say ur wasting ur money and y don't u just drop a m3 in it well im not everybody else and when im done with all my cars people end up coping me. and if most people new what they were saying they would no that u CANT FIND MANY of the e36 320i 4 door saloons infact I haven't seen any in three year that's why IM KEEPING THE ENGINE as there becoming very rare and nealy a classic car. for all the others who say drop a 325 + in it I DO NOT FOLLOW OTHER PEOPLE I DO MY OWN THING DEAL WITH IT.
and for everybody else thanks for the advise is all taking on board and im after most of the power coming from the engine its self and then just a little of boost behind it that's why im after putting cams and new pistons in ( forge ) and bascily reaplaceing a few parts on the engine that need doing with upgrades whilst the engine is ale
ready out SAVING MONEY I do most of the work my self it just that im not rite good with dismantling engines
